Victorious News - November

The Lamp of God

John 5:35 John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you were willing for a season to bask in his light.  THREE truths about a lamp

 1.  JOHN WAS A LAMP

a). Every lamp has a reservoir to hold its oil

Matthew 25:6-10

      b) Don’t carry Oil only for the present and no oil for tomorrow.

      c) Make provision for what is to come. Have oil not only for present show, but no oil for tomorrow.

     d) God is a God of fresh oil every day.

      e)  Carry revival today and carry revival tomorrow.

Psalms 92:10 But You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox, with fine oil I have been anointed.

 2.  JOHN WAS BURNING

      a)  Every lamp has a capacity to burn.

      b)  Every child of God Must keep burning like a flame

Leviticus    6:13 “A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out”.

      c)  The things we hear about Jesus and do, sparks fire in us.  Luke 24:30.

3.  JOHN GAVE LIGHT

      a)  The function of light is to guide, John pointed men on the way to repentance and to God.

John 1:7,8

      b)  God is calling us to be good guides that provides others with light and life.

      c)  We must point people, our friends, our families, our workmates to Christ. John came as a way for Christ.  Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

Latest Mission Minutes

FROM KENYA

After a recent trip to East Africa, Bro. and Sis. Erickson report it was such a delight to visit Kaimosi Bible College where they taught many years ago. They met 3 young lady students who have started 3 new and growing churches. A woman came to meet Bro. Erickson and told him she wanted to share her salvation story with him. Years ago, when he was teaching at the Bible School, she was walking along the road beside the classroom and heard him. She told Bro. Erickson her heart was so touched by what she heard that she confessed the Lord as Savior right there on the dirt road.

FROM THE PHILIPPINES

Bro. Taylor writes God has been moving mightily across the Philippines, touching lives and transforming hearts. During a recent crusade, over 100 souls made life changing decisions to follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The altar was flooded with people in repentance and faith as families stood hand in hand in prayer. Many young people dedicated their lives to Christ as their hearts were stirred and tears flowed.
