Ps. 24:7 “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.”
Monarchy is based on a Greek word that means “rule of one”. That’s what a monarchy is, a nation or state ruled by a king, queen, a sultan, or some other singular ruler. There are different kinds of monarchies in which the ruler is merely a figurehead (United Kingdom) or is the head of state (Saudi Arabia). Today there are 28 monarchies in the world which rule or reign over 44 countries.
Uniquely, the Kingdom of God is ruled by the “Kings of kings and Lord of lords”, Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 6:15). In his Pentecost sermon, Peter noted that Christ has been “exalted to the right hand of God” (Acts 2:33) from where He awaits the time when He will return and establish His Kingdom and rule over all the earth (Rev. 19). At that time, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Him as King of kings.
Phil. 2:10 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;”
Is Jesus the true and only monarch in your life? Better to confess Him now in anticipation of His return and rule.
FROM TORTULA
Sister Veta reports of a very busy schedule from February through August of this year. In Tortola, she was involved with the Girl’s Retreat and workshop, the Boy’s Retreat and workshop, a Ladies Retreat, Vacation Bible School, Easter Booster, and a Community March for the children and youth. Sis. Veta is so grateful to the Lord for working in the hearts of the children, changing them to want Jesus in their lives.
She made trips to Kenya, to help with Vacation Bible School; New York, to attend a Missionary Rally; Maryland for a Prayer Retreat and meetings in Pennsylvania, to speak at a Mission Convention.
Sis. Veta is truly thankful for the Lord’s protection on her, when she lost control of her vehicle and was about 1/4 of a mile away from going down one of the steepest hills in Tortola. God intervened and she was not injured— TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
Our Pastor and Rev. Mark and Bro. Ken travelled to Kenya on a very successful mission trip. While they were there, we at the church were privileged to have in our services Rev. Mike Miller, Rev. Clint Taylor and Rev. Ryan Lewis. We thank them for the wonderful Word of God they presented to us. We experienced the presence of God in the services. God is faithful.
Rev. Mark and Bro. Ken gave testimony of the time spent in Kenya and how God blessed there. God graciously blessed the Kenyan Pastors, saved souls and healed the sick during their time there.
Praise Him for His good works.
