Josh. 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
As Adam and Eve looked back on the Garden of Eden, their physical removal from the Garden was a visual reminder of the break in their relationship with God. Despite their dismal circumstances, God had a different ending in mind. He did not forsake His creation. God’s affection for us is revealed through His presence. He heard Jonah’s prayer from the belly of the fish. He sustained David as he waited to become king while being ruthlessly pursued by King Saul. God positioned Queen Esther to save His people from annihilation. The God of the Garden became the God of Gethsemane, sacrificing everything for our salvation. Jesus does not run or recoil from our weakness, pain or broken lives. He took our sin upon Himself and beckons us to come. Even in the midst of our darkest days, God is with us. Nothing can separate us from Him and His love.
Gen. 39:21 “But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” God is not just in the Garden; He shows up even in the place of our pain. That is good news for anyone in trouble, and a hint of the Good News to come.
God was so faithful in all the services and activities in June. We started the month with the Sunday School picnic. God blessed us with good weather and good fellowship.
On June 9th morning service we honored those who graduated from High School and Kindergarten. They were presented with a Bible, and prayer for God’s protection and leading as they now continue their education or join the workforce.
We were privileged to have in service on the 16th, Bishop Richards from Kenya, Africa. Also, on that Father’s Day Sunday we recognized the Fathers of the church.
After 6 months of renovation, we had the dedication of the Fellowship Hall, now known as “The Betty Armolt Center”. For over 25 years Sis. Betty was faithful in working and planning all the fellowship meals for the church. Even at 92 years old she helped to clean, plan, decorate and prepare for the Mother-Daughter Banquet just 2 weeks before God called her home. Victory Tabernacle has been blessed by God and the dedication of another blessing (the Fellowship Hall) was a highlight in our Church’s history. We thank God for all those that worked, prepared food and gave of their time so that the Hall could be updated and used for God’s glory. Praise God for His continued faithfulness.

FROM MEXICO
Bro. Kincaid shares that May was a very busy month. They held the graduation for the Bible School in Reynosa where his grandson, Devon preached. There was also a celebration of 25 years since the Bible School first opened in 1999. Hundreds of students have gone through the school and are now ministering throughout Mexico. This year there were 8 graduates from the full program plus 14 graduates from the night and weekend program. In mid-May Bro. Kincaid’s son, Darin, preached a 2 day 44th Anniversary celebration of a church that 43years ago was just a mission and under strong persecution. What a privilege to see how God transformed the area, so much so that they were honored by the mayor’s attendance and he responded to the altar call. While in the area, Darin visited the radio station and also 8 missions. He then ministered at the church in Puebla and also attended the semiannual executive committee meeting for the churches of Prince of Peace in Mexico and was blessed to hear up-lifting reports from the pastors about the wonderful things the Lord is doing throughout the churches in Mexico.
