Phil. 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection…”
In the King and I, Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote a memorable song for Anna to sing about striking up a friendship with the King of Siam and his family. “Haven’t you noticed”, said Anna,” suddenly I’m bright and breezy? Because of all the beautiful and new things I’m learning about you.” The chorus keeps repeating the thought: “Getting to know you, getting to know all about you.” If that’s true about the King of Siam, it’s much more true about the King of Kings!
As we mature in our walk with the Lord, we’ll learn more about His goodness with every step we take. Our Christian faith isn’t a religion but a relationship. Prayer and Bible study aren’t simply rituals, but conversations. Our God isn’t just a distant force. He is an ever-present friend. The focus of our faith is getting to know Him better.
The verse of Scripture: “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection…” Calls to us that we set a determined purpose to know Him. That it would be a progressive effort to become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly.
FROM MEXICO
Bro. Kincaid reports during the National Youth Conference in Morelos, Mexico, several of the students attending the Bible School were called into the ministry. Currently, he says they are working on 3 new churches among the Chamula Indians. These works started as missions and then grew to where a church building was needed. The new school year at the Bible School in Reynosa has 8 returning 2nd year students and 10 new 1st year students. Bro. Kincaid writes it brings him much joy seeing the Lord at work in the lives of these young students and recent graduates.
FROM ASIA
Bro. Taylor writes there is a great passion for evangelism in Bangladesh. He says even though pastors and leaders in the ministry continually face dangerous persecution for preaching the Gospel, this does not slow them down or make them retreat. He writes they come together even more often to pray and seek God. Determined to reach more villages for Christ, they know the only way to have true change in a life is through salvation in Jesus Christ.

Our thanks to the congregation of Victory Tabernacle for their kind thoughts, gifts, cards and words during the month of Pastor appreciation. We love and appreciate the congregation that God has given us.
We enjoyed the service with Rev. and Mrs. David Riddle, learning of how God is using them in His service in the Dominican Republic.
The Fall Fest was a good time of food, fellowship, hayrides and games. We are so appreciative to God for the good weather we enjoyed.
The Sunday morning services have been such a blessing. And the Wednesday night series on the “Armor of God” has been teaching us how to live a victorious Christian life. God is also blessing in the Sunday night services, during all parts of the service. God always blesses when He is worshiped and praised. We pray you all have a Blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving.
We thank God for all He does for His people.
HOW HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED THE LIGHT OF JESUS IN YOUR LIFE? TODAY, WHO CAN YOU TELL ABOUT HIM?
LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BRIGHT, DEAR GOD, IN EVERY CORNER OF MY LIFE.
